The demolition of the old building provided an opportunity to relocate the main entrance to the Western side of the building where it can now be easily accessed by the two adjoining buildings, immediate playground, car park and the new sensory garden.
The new entrance consists of a large undercover landing, steps and a DDA compliant ramp.
The new undercover landing will also double up as an outdoor stage for student performances and public presentations.
The visual connection between the interior and exterior was ensured to bring in more natural light into the immediate hallway.
Internal upgrades include the repainted and re carpeting of the hall, new vinyl to the bathrooms and the construction of new compliant DDA bathroom.
